Members' Information & Subscriptions
The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine is keen to welcome new members. Membership includes the following benefits:
- Subscription to the ESICM/ESPNIC official journal Intensive Care Medicine. Ordinary, International and Honorary membership includes an annual subscription to the ESICM/ESPNIC journal. ESICM/ESPNIC members benefit from a 85% discount (list price 710)
- Privileged access to the electronic version of the journal after login in (password and user ID are given by the Brussels office)
- Special discount for multiple payment of the annual membership fee
- Participation in the Scientific activities: Sections and Working groups, Annual Congress, joint international meetings, etc.

Membership Application Form
Please note that the normal timing for activating your membership is 6 weeks.
ESPNIC members should use the same application form. Joint ESPNIC/ESICM membership is automatic. Further information about specific ESPNIC issues can be found on the ESPNIC website.
When will your membership start?
The membership becomes effective upon approval by the Council (submission once a month) and the first payment of the membership fee. Please do not pay in advance. Fees will be requested only after approval.
The ESICM membership annual fees
The following membership dues are valid for the year 2008 (January to December). Ordinary, International, and Associate members shall pay annual fees in the amounts and within the periods set by the Council (Statutes Art 4.7). Please note that the annual dues have not been changed since several years.
Membership dues 2008
A client reference (= member ID) has been assigned to all ESICM members in order to invoice them their annual membership dues. There are several payment methods that are listed on the reverse side of this invoice. Please be sure that your client reference and your invoice number (MEMB 2008****) are written in your payment communication.
Not paid your membership fees in 2007?
The members who have not paid their membership dues 2007 have been deleted from the Member database. The ESICM regret this situation. The ESICM would appreciate hearing from you about the reasons to leave the Society.

Membership deliveries
At the beginning of the month following receipt of your payment, the Brussels Office will send your name and address to the publisher, Springer Verlag, in order to start the delivery of the journal Intensive Care Medicine. A confirmation letter, together with your membership card, is also sent at the same time. The earlier you renew, the earlier you receive the journal! Please note that all mailings (Newsletters, Journal and all correspondence), as well as the access to the electronic version of the journal from this website are interrupted until your payment is cashed.
